Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Multiple guests reported dirty rooms (hair on bathroom floor, grungy carpet), noticeable odour in dog-friendly rooms and general carpet cleanliness issues; some rooms were described as clean but complaints dominate.

Service

Staff repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming and responsive (front desk, office staff, named front desk clerk Gerald); staff helped with guest needs during a difficult stay, though one guest noted a front desk dismissing an unsanitary water refill concern.

Location

Many guests praised the convenient location (close to St. Norbert's, close to home, easy highway access) and found the hotel surprisingly quiet despite road proximity, though some noted loitering/smoking at the entrance.

Room Quality

Beds and showers received consistently positive remarks (comfortable beds, good shower pressure); some issues noted with room fixtures (bathroom door not closing), layout (room in separate building), limited outlets and missing bedside table one side, and carpet-related problems.

Amenities

Hot breakfast and basic guest facilities appreciated; guests noted practical amenities like a printer (though it failed once), but there were gaps such as no elevator, concerns about water-station hygiene, limited gluten-free options and occasional breakfast availability issues.

Value for Money

Several guests reported good value and that the property matched its online description; overall sentiment on price-to-quality was positive.

Convenient Location and Easy Access

Located near Winnipeg city centre attractions and with easy access to motorways, the Comfort Inn Winnipeg South is the ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers looking to explore the city.
